🌳 Pura Vida Tree Houses sits on a unique piece of paradise. It is a true jungle experience full of wildlife, beautiful trees and plants. We never know when or where the sloths, congos, birds, agoutis (etc) will show so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. The property sits on over 80 acres complete with river access and wide paths to hike to take yourself on a little adventure.
📍 Conveniently located just south of La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano, our prime location will position your group in the best and most colorful part of the Costa Rican rainforest.
🦥 Since planting over 6,000 native fruit trees to accommodate the animals in the area — including the Cecropia tree, which sloths love to eat from — this magical property has become home to a multitude of wildlife including sloths, armadillos, howler monkeys, kinkajous, parrots, toucans, laughing falcons, and hummingbirds, just to name a few! Many snakes, lizards, frogs, and toads also find a safe place to live on the property.
🥾 A wide trail was created for our guests which starts at the hotel and leads all the way to Rio Vieja. Along the way there are several rest areas, a waterfall with three small pools, a restroom, and a picnic area.

RESERVATION POLICIES
- Payment is required in full at the time of booking.
- We require a two-night minimum so our guests can truly enjoy all that the area has to offer. We often have one-night openings created by multiple-night stays, so please inquire about any vacancies that may be available.
- Pricing is for double occupancy. There will be a $20 charge per night for each additional person. When booking, please select the total number of people staying in the tree house where it lists ‘adults’. For example, if you have 2 adults and 2 kids, you will select the total number of ‘adults’ as four (4) since pricing is the same for adults and kids.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Guests may request a refund or reschedule as long as it’s done at least 30-days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Changes or cancellations made less than 30 days prior to your arrival date will not be eligible for a refund unless your treehouse is rebooked.
PLEASE NOTE:
📅 November 18th through December 15th and January 8th through April 30th: We will refund or reschedule with at least 45-days notice prior to your reservation date. Less than 45-days, we will refund only if we are able to rebook your treehouse.
📅 December 16th through January 7th: No refund unless we rebook the tree house.
👉 Refunds – We will deduct 10% of total charge for processing fees.
👉 Travel Insurance – We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your vacation to Costa Rica as we are not responsible for any unforeseen event that may cause you to cancel your reservation. This includes viruses, disease, sickness, pregnancy, weather, an act of nature or any other event non-related to our property or our business.
👉 Passports – Passports must be no less than 6 months from expiration to gain entry to Costa Rica.
