Why Experience Guide?

More Than
a Place
to Stay.

We build the parts of the trip people actually remember.

The realization

The house is rarely the story.

It’s where the story happens.

Experience Guide started with group lodging. At first, the goal was simple: help groups stay together instead of scattering across hotel rooms.

But after hosting group after group in Colorado, it became obvious that the house was only part of the trip.

Nobody goes home talking about the lockbox code. They talk about the first night together, the meal that saved the morning, the transportation that kept everyone from splitting up, and the thing nobody expected that became the highlight.

The house matters. But the best memories usually happen inside the moments around it.

“If I were traveling here with my own family...

what would I wish somebody had already thought of?”

A familiar feeling

This happens almost every time I travel.

And every time it reminds me why Experience Guide exists.

Hey! 👋

Any chance you know a good airport shuttle company?

Do you happen to know a great pizza place nearby?
No idea...

I've actually never lived there.
No worries! One more question...

If I send an Instacart order, any chance you could throw a few beers in the fridge before we arrive?
Unfortunately we don't offer that.

That's not hospitality.

It's logistics. There's a difference.

The Experience Guide Way

We care why you came.

That might sound simple, but it changes everything.

Are you celebrating something? First trip to Colorado? Bringing the kids? Coming for Red Rocks? A wrestling tournament? A bachelor party? Your parents' anniversary?

Once we know why you're here, we can start helping with everything that happens after check-in.

It’s more than beers in the fridge. It’s the quick text response when someone is craving pizza. The honest recommendation when you ask where we’d actually go. The airport pickup that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The dinner that keeps everyone around one table.

The little things

It's rarely about the beers.

It's about knowing someone actually gives a damn about your trip.

Trust

Something unexpected happened.

Today anyone can Google the best pizza place. Anyone can ask ChatGPT. So when our guests text us instead, that means something.

Hey Skyler... what's your favorite pizza spot around here?
We've got tomorrow afternoon free... any hidden gems you'd recommend?
We're thinking breweries tonight. Where would YOU go?

They're not asking about pizza.

They're saying...

“We trust you.”

The Testing Ground

Every season became an opportunity to try something new.

One of the coolest parts of what we do is that we don't have to guess what groups might enjoy. We actually get to find out.

Experience Guide chef testing a private culinary experience
Ideas get tested with real groups, real meals, and real feedback.

Every few weeks, one of those silly ideas starts with the same question:

“I wonder if that would be awesome...”

Sometimes it was airport pickup. Sometimes it was buying pizza ovens. Sometimes it was adding paddleboards. Sometimes it was private transportation. Sometimes it was a city-wide adventure rally.

By the time something makes it onto our website, it has already been tried, tested, refined, and improved with real guests.

“What if...”

Those two words have probably shaped Experience Guide more than anything else.

✈️ What if airport pickup...

...became one of the best parts of the vacation instead of just transportation?

🍕 What if dinner...

...was something everyone actually looked forward to instead of another reservation?

🍳 What if brunch...

...came to the guests instead of the guests going to brunch?

🏖️ What if a lake day...

...required zero planning from the group?

🚐 What if everyone...

...stayed together instead of splitting into six Ubers?

🧩 What if Denver...

...became the game?

Real Guests. Real Feedback.

We prove the idea first.

The webpage comes later.

Experience Guide Mobile Adventure Rally
Some of our best ideas started before they even had a name.

Sometimes we'd mention an idea to an upcoming group before we'd ever spent five minutes designing a webpage.

If their eyes lit up... If they booked it... If they couldn't stop talking about it... We knew we were onto something.

Only then would we refine it... Build it... Photograph it... Name it... And officially add it to the Experience Guide collection.

That's why nearly every Signature Experience™ already has real-world miles on it before it ever appears on our website.

The Result

The best ideas became Signature Experiences™.

Not because they sounded good on paper. Because we'd already watched real groups enjoy them.

What People Actually Remember

Nobody remembers the lockbox code.

They remember how the trip made them feel.

Five years from now... nobody remembers which bedroom they slept in.

They remember the pizza night that somehow turned into a three-hour family competition. The brunch that saved the morning after Red Rocks. The airport pickup that made everyone feel like the vacation had already begun. The recommendation for that tiny brewery they'd never have found on their own.

Those are the moments people carry home with them.
